Cultivating the Mind Manifesto

A truly good book teaches me better than to read it. I must soon lay it down, and commence living on its hint. What I began by reading, I must finish by acting. -Henry David Thoreau

I am Martin the author of Cultivating the Mind, and this is my manifesto.

From the words to the sentences, I write to give life to ideas and bring form to the un-formed mind.

I seek to understand and to learn. To listen, first I must clear the mind of opinion. A mind which is cluttered - has no space to learn.

I seek perspectives that add value to life. I’ve learned firsthand, finding someone who communicates the world through sympathetic words helps bring understanding.

Writing helps develop an intimate relationship with the mind and creates a conduit, a channel to give structure to an otherwise chaotic nexus of conscious and unconscious thoughts. I honour those who have come before me, and recognise that we all drink from the same potent source of timeless knowledge — life, only our paths differ.

I share my work to set it free, to amplify its potential. I am the author of words, and this, is my manifesto.
