People often find change hard because too often the path of least resistance/change is taken. The brain naturally chooses responses that it already understands. Conscious effort is required for change.

Visualising new outcomes will help stimulate change. The brain doesn't distinguish between what happens and what is imagined to happen. Positive visulising has good outcomes.
